Hartshorne Pensnett play key part as customer scoops national award... One of Hartshorne longstanding customers has been named Small Coach Operator of the Year at the routeONE Operator Excellence Awards, judges described their service as ‘coach travel at its best’. Phillips International of Bewdley operate just one touring coach – a Volvo B12M with Plaxton Paragon bodywork which is serviced and maintained by Hartshorne Pensnett. Run by husband and wife team, Alan and Celia Phillips, the company offers a year-round programme of European holidays,UK short breaks and day tours. The Phillips pride themselves on high standards of service and a policy of constantly changing, hand-picked tours, hostess drinks service and no music or videos on the coach has generated a loyal customer base. Having been in the business for 40 years, the Phillips have used Hartshorne Pensnett for vehicle maintenance for 12 years and regard the team there as vital to the success of their business. “It’s no exaggeration to say that we couldn’t have done it without them – in fact service supervisor , Steve Bastafield, came with us to the awards ceremony!” said Alan. “One of the key reasons for our success in the awards was thehigh standards of safety and maintenance of our vehicle and that’s where Hartshorne come in. They have always provided us with an excellent service – thoroughly professional while making us feel like part of the family – just how we like to treat our own customers in fact!”
